Ruby Princess is the newest Caribbean-class ship in the Princess Cruises fleet. Throughout the year this floating hotel can be found cruising in popular destinations such as the Caribbean and Mediterranean.
Almost 80% of the outside cabins aboard Ruby Princess have a private balcony, resulting in a total of about 900 staterooms that have a balcony on this ship. The accommodations on this ship range in size from 163 to 689-square feet, and include interior staterooms, oceanviews, balconies, mini-suites and suites.
There are many dining venues aboard Ruby Princess. For instance, the ship's piazza-style atrium is home to the casual International Cafe, featuring a menu that rotates throughout the day, as well as a wine and seafood bar. Other dining options include the ships two specialty restaurants (see below for details), three main dining rooms (one traditional and two anytime), a large buffet and bistro, the Caribbean-themed Café Caribe, an outdoor hamburger and hot dog grill, a pizzeria and ice cream bar, as well as 24-hour room service.
As far as things to do on a Ruby Princess cruise goes, there's the large Gatsby's Casino (featuring blackjack, roulette, craps, poker and many slot machines), a full-service spa with fitness center, five fresh-water swimming pools (including a swim-against-the-current lap pool), a sports court and jogging track, duty-free boutiques, a nine-hole putting course, two digital golf simulators, many bars and lounges (including Skywalkers Nightclub), as well as a 24-hour Internet Café. Those traveling with children and teens should be happy to learn that there are extensive youth and teen centers on board Ruby Princess. |

Movies Under the Stars
This giant outdoor movie theater, located poolside, has a screen that's 300-square feet in size! Concerts, live sporting events and movies are examples of what may be playing at this venue during a Ruby Princess cruise. During the evenings, staff members can provide guests with comfortable blankets and popcorn.
Lotus Spa
True rest and relaxation can be achieved at Ruby Princess' Asian-themed spa. Among the treatments that are available at the spa are massages, body wraps, facials and acupuncture. Also in this area of the ship is a fantastic fitness center, with state-of-the-art exercise equipment and a variety of fitness classes (such as yoga and pilates).
The Sanctuary
This is an outdoor, spa-inspired area that's just for adults sailing aboard Ruby Princess. While there you can relax on a comfortable lounge chair, under the shade of a large umbrella, and enjoy one of Princess' signature cocktails or a light snack. Also available in this area of the ship are massages in private outdoor cabanas, as well as rentals of pre-loaded personal MP3 players (with noise-canceling headphones).
Specialty Dining
There are two optional, but great, specialty dining restaurants on board Ruby Princess, Sabatini's and the Crown Grill. Sabatini's is an Italian restaurant with a great menu and wine list, while the Crown Grill is the place to be if you're looking for great steak and/or seafood. Both of these restaurants have a per person cover charge. |
